SARAH BECKEMEYER

Sarah Beckemeyer, Ph.D.

Sarah is a dedicated structural engineer who prides herself in her experience conducting experimental concrete testing in both her academic career at Purdue University and transferring that knowledge to her professional career at Pivot. Sarah is passionate about understanding the behavior of structures using the mathematical relationships between physical behavior and theoretical behavior.

Sarah graduated with her Ph.D. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from Purdue University after receiving her B.S. in Civil Engineering at Oklahoma State University. During her Ph.D., Sarah conducted shear, flexure, and torsion testing of post-tensioned concrete girder specimens, with a focus on the shear behavior of post-tensioned girders with post-tensioning ducts in the web. Sarah has experience in specimen design and construction, as well as designing test setups.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, trying new restaurants, and making a good attempt to keep most of her plants alive.
