Before joining Pivot as a Technical Writing Intern in the summer of 2024, Sonia expected to refine her skills in assessing the clarity and structure of report writing, but she did not expect to pick up a passion for observing the structure of buildings, bridges, and more. Pivot has introduced Sonia to the fascinating practice of forensic structural engineering and the intricate observations in reports detailing them. Sonia is expanding her skillset in office administration and supporting communication needs.

Sonia is enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a degree in the Bachelor of Arts in English Honors and a certificate in Programming and Computation. Outside of work, Sonia enjoys teaching fitness classes, mixing music, and diving into the works of Jane Austen.
